Windows 10: Mapping a network drive Network drives need to be mapped to show up even in places like "This PC". To do this, at the top of most File Explorer windows such as the one for "This PC"< you will see "Computer" as one of the options along the top. Click on it then go to "Map network drive" and use the drop down menu to select "Map network drive" You now must select a letter for the drive, only available ones are displayed but do not use ones close to the ones you are already using, leave a space of 2 or 3 letters. Now you must select the folder. It will have a name like \\readyshare\T_Drive. These names are created in your router and that is a whole other story. |
