Sunday, October 30, 2005 Letter Support from Retired Police Chief Dag
Garrison Other reasons I support Ava for Mayor is that this is not the time to make changes because of the many issues now facing the City of Issaquah. As an example, the annexations of South Cove and Klahanie require proven leadership to bring in those areas and residents into the City of Issaquah. Ava understands how to determine and provide service levels to the annexed area while keeping cost as low as possible. The new residents of the city will want to get involved in city affairs and Ava will be able to provide the leadership necessary to bring them on board. The bypass is another issue that will be decided very soon and this requires proven leadership that Ava can and does provide. The goal is to provide what our residents want. Another project that Ava started is the synchronization of the traffic signals in the traffic corridors to expedite the movement of traffic. This issue has been on the table for some time and Ava is the one who will bring this goal to completion. There are also many other complex issues that will require Ava's proven leadership during the next four years. Ava is a very strong and warm leader extremely dedicated to the Citizens of Issaquah. We need Ava in the Mayor's office. |
