Windows 10 Screen Shots shortcut

How to capture a part of the screen and either save it or print it assuming you have windows 10:

Windows key + Shift + S, allows you to select a rectangular region of the screen and copy it to the Clipboard. When you press that key combination, the screen dims and the mouse pointer turns to a crosshair.

Launch Screen Snip from the Action Center (The icon in the lower right of your screen).

Click on the action center icon then select "Screen Snip".  It may not be there on some winnows 10 computers.

Launch Screen snip by pressing Print Screen

If you think the three keys combo Winkey + Shift + S is tough to operate, you can choose to have your PrtScn key open the new snipping bar, instead of Winkey + Shift + S. To do so:

Click Start → Settings →

Then in the search bar put "Ease of Access Keyboard Shortcuts →
turn on the PrtScn button to open screen snipping

You may have to reboot your computer to make this take effect.

If the area you highlighted does not show up in a pop up window, look in the notification area, the hamburger icon in the lower right of the windows screen.

Once you have snipped the picture, you can past it wherever you want.

If you want to print it out, then click on the picture that popps up.  A new window will pop up that has  3 dots in the lower right corner. Click on them, and select "Print". A window will shorlty pop up with verious print options. Select the options you want then elect Print.

If the image gets lost behind others on your screen, you can bring it back by clicking on its icon along the bottom of the screen.  The icon looks like 2 mountains with a circle around it.
