Letter to the Editor, published in the Issaquah Press, October 12, 2005

Frisinger has earned the right to be Re-Elected mayor

In a city like Issaquah, with its own police, parks, water and road systems, it is really important to be a responsible mayor. Ava Frisinger is such a mayor and I am proud to support her re-election. Ava is not one to toot her own horn, but since I play the tuba I'll do it for her. Loudly!

This woman has given so much of herself on behalf of this city and done so with grace and care for all of us. Issaquah is the envy of many cities for having solid financial health while at the same time providing great services that we all enjoy every day. Sometimes it is easy to take these things for granted, and I am sure that Ava likes for us to be able to do so. But when an election is imminent, it is so important to take a look around and count your blessings.

We have many. Our emergency services are excellent. Our parks and recreations programs are wonderful. Street maintenance and water supply systems are kept in good working order and future expenditures are planned carefully to keep them that way.

Ava is a very kind person who treats everyone with respect and always goes the extra mile for the people of our great little city. Let's maintain our course for a healthy Issaquah.

Jenny Joe (Kramer)

Note:  This issue of the Issaquah Press also has a good comparison of the candidates for mayor.  I did not include it here for copyright reasons, it is not on their web site and was written by them.
