Frisinger shows restraint  (King County Journal)
Frisinger the right choice to lead the city (Issaquah Press)

I have worked at various times, on a variety of issues, with both candidates in the Issaquah mayoral race. Each has their talents -- and shortcomings.

Even the most strident of detractors would admit Ava Frisinger's decades of selfless service to this community is nothing short of amazing. Her self-effacing and tireless efforts for environmental measures and public safety, and her comprehensive understanding of local and regional issues, places her head and shoulders above anyone that comes to mind.

Her leadership is unquestioned, as exhibited by the restraint and decorum she demonstrates while presiding over a contentious City Council. The lesson she has learned, and her opponent has not, is that rancor and divisive independence is not what makes government work for the people.
